What I do really well:
My goal in every client interaction is to help them visualize their financial goals and take actionable steps to achieve those goals. For many people investing and planning for retirement can feel overwhelming and can be emotionally exhausting. My hope is that I can help clients structure a clear pathway to and through retirement.
Why I get up in the morning:
I enjoy what I do. Very few people are able to find their calling in life and create a career out of it. I love the clients I get to work with every day and am passionate in helping them work towards achieving their goals.
How I got here:
I graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Utah. While going to school I worked on several trading/service teams and also passed my Series 7, 63, 65, 9 & 10 licenses*. I also had the great opportunity to work for 2 of the largest national retirement plan providers assisting clients with asset allocation, plan design, and mutual fund selection. I have also earned the CFP® Certified Financial Planner designation as well as the APMA® (Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor) and CRPS® (Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist) designations. I joined MRP in January 2015.
What’s hot right now:
We live in interesting times and no two markets look exactly alike. There are many topics being discussed such as active vs. passive investing, rising interest rates, and global inter-connectedness all of which are important topics to study and understand. At the end of the day creating a well thought retirement and investment plan that works for the participant should carry the greatest weight when considering these subjects.
Who am I really:
I am married and the father of 5 amazing daughters. We love being outside and enjoying the outdoors. I love landscaping and DIY projects around the house. My wife is my best friend and an excellent athlete. I have lived in Utah all my life and call Eagle Mountain home.
