Vice President of Wealth Management

What I do really well:

I strive to put my clients ahead by finding every advantage, big and small. While competing at the highest levels of cycling, I learned that success comes when preparation and training combine with strategy and drive. My training and experience in wealth management allows me to apply the same principles that made me a successful bike racer – diligence and a good work ethic.

Why I get up in the morning:

My first thought every morning is: How is my family doing? My second thought is: How is your family doing? I love my work and I am passionate about pursuing my clients’ success’. Financial planning can be stressful for families—my mission is to shoulder this burden with them. I pride myself in helping families work towards reaching their financial goals without having to worry about the complexities that are often paired with successful wealth management.

How I got here:

I gained an appreciation for the principles of investing growing up in the home of a banker who specialized in small business loans. At a young age, my brother and I sold our own start up business to the Larry H. Miller Corporation which set me on the path of wealth management and financial planning. I received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in psychology and business management, after which I joined Fidelity Investments in 2008.  In 2016, I received my Certified Financial Planning Certificate and I welcomed the opportunity to join MRP.

Families I work best with:

Whether I’m spending time my family, volunteering in various organizations, or advising my clients with MRP, I am 100% committed. I know that success is most quickly achieved when both advisor and client are engaged, committed, and in regular communication. Areas that I specialize in helping my clients are ways to manage, defer, and reduce taxes. “It’s not how much you make, but how much money you keep.” I also specialize in retirement planning and creating income plans leading up to, and in retirement for the families I work with.

Who am I really:

My wife and I are the proud parents of three energetic kids, ranging in ages from 4-10 years old. We enjoy traveling, cycling, trail running, mountain climbing, fly fishing and spending time at Lake Powell in the summer.
