What I do really well:
My background is in ERISA qualified plan compliance. I am efficient in providing information and assistance in relation to the various IRS requirements for retirement plans.
Why I get up in the morning:
I believe that there is always something worth doing in every day. From a personal standpoint, I want to work towards bettering myself every day. As an MRP employee, this falls back on finding ways daily to help plan sponsors work towards providing the best plans for themselves and their participants.
Plans I work best with:
I work best with qualified 401k plans where the plan advisor, plan sponsor, and plan participants have a similar goal: safe and secure retirement for plan employees.
How I got here:
After obtaining a degree from Brigham Young University in Physiology and Developmental Biology, I taught high school Chemistry and Biology for three years. Shortly thereafter, I switched gears and worked for a third-party administrator for five years doing compliance testing and plan administration.
Who am I really:
I’m a want-to-be athlete. I enjoy running and playing/coaching basketball in my spare time. I’d be happy spending every waking moment in the outdoors hiking, wakeboarding, or riding my bike. I have an intrinsic need to help people and find that that instinct drives my daily decisions.
